We are looking for a patient, understanding, and active support worker to support a 17-year-old female. The client is independently mobile but experiences fatigue. She requires guidance and encouragement to engage in activities that support her rehabilitation, including gym attendance. The ideal candidate should be active and willing to participate in physical activities.
She lives in her own rehabilitation property where the staff are supporting her to settle in and live independently, which would require support with daily living tasks. Using clear and simple communication to assist with planning and choices will be necessary.
Providing companionship, being a good listener, and offering appropriate advice when needed are important aspects of the role. Supporting her interests, including photography, music (dance and house genres), and beauty treatments (hair, nails, eyelashes),will contribute to her overall happiness and confidence.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach is required. The ability to provide structure while respecting her boundaries and preferences is key.
