Denise Sharpe – Assistant Care Coordinator
Team Member at Support for Independence (since November 2020)

Denise Sharpe joined Support for Independence in November 2020, initially stepping into a frontline role to support a client referred by a former Case Manager. From day one, she brought warmth, dedication, and a people-focused approach that quickly made her a valued member of the team.

Over the years, Denise has built meaningful relationships with the individuals and families she supports, gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of person-centred care. Her commitment to delivering high-quality support led to her promotion in September 2023 to the role of Assistant Care Coordinator. In this position, she now oversees several care packages—including the very first one she began with—bringing continuity, consistency, and a wealth of lived experience to her coordination work.

Denise thrives on the dynamic nature of her role, where no two days are the same. She is constantly learning, growing, and developing professionally, all while ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care and support. Her ability to adapt, problem-solve, and lead with empathy makes her a key part of the SFI team.

Outside of work, Denise enjoys staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She also loves socialising with friends and unwinding over a well-earned gin—striking the perfect balance between hard work and fun.
