Michelle Hartwell – Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor
Team Member at Rehabilitation for Independence (since July 2021)

Michelle Hartwell has been a valued member of Rehabilitation for Independence since July 2021, working as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor (OTTI). Her role is dedicated to supporting clients in achieving personalised goals, working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and the Sensory Team.

Michelle plays a key role in helping children and young people thrive by supporting the implementation of sensory strategies—often referred to as “sensory diets”—in homes, schools, and other environments. She works closely with families, parents, and educators to embed these tools into daily routines, helping children feel more regulated and better able to engage in meaningful activities.

Known for her calm, practical approach and her commitment to client progress, Michelle brings warmth and structure to every interaction. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time walking and connecting with the outdoors.
